National Endowment for the Humanities Grant Application Writing Workshop

The FSU Humanities Center, FSU Graduate School, and FSU Division of Research will host Daniel Sack, acting director of the Research Division of the National Endowment for the Humanities, for a grant-writing workshop on Sept. 28-29, 2026. Sack will provide an overview of relevant NEH programs, lead a mock proposal review panel, and answer questions about the process. On the afternoon of Sept. 28 and the morning of Sept. 29 he will meet with individuals for private consultations about proposals they are planning to submit to the NEH. This is an opportunity for faculty, postdocs, and graduate students to learn about support offered by the NEH, familiarize themselves with various aspects of the process of writing a proposal, and learn how it is peer-reviewed by an NEH jury. The workshop will take place in the Great Hall in the Honors, Scholars, and Fellows House on the FSU campus.
